It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ardella Cato (Okmulgee, Oklahoma), who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Tarwater and Ida Tarwater (Hollins); and her brother Danny Edward Tarwater. She is survived by: her children, Mark Allen Hawk (Kathy) of Boston, Massachusetts, Ronald Lee Hawk (Catina) of Mounds, Oklahoma, David Eric Hawk (Stephanie) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mary Ann Hawkins (Robert) of Bixby, Oklahoma, Dawn Renee Militar and Tony of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Janet Raefield of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Pat Wood of Mansfield, Texas, Karen (Jerry Henderson) and Robert (Elaine Tarwater). She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (1004 N Alabama Ave, Okmulgee, OK 74447).
