With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tommie Nell Flegal (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tommie Nell Flegal to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Payne and Goldie Payne (Peacock); her brother Eddie Payne (Tomasine); her son-in-law Colonel Edward Smallwood; and her friends, Skippy Henry, Tommy Henry and Patsy Gayle Stoolz (Carey).
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Ellen Flegal-Smallwood; her grandsons, Andrew Smallwood and Aaron Smallwood; her great grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Annabelle, Bethany and Dylennon; her great great grandchild Riley; and her friends, Gary Henry, Kip Henry, Billy Pratt, Diana Williams, Pamela Sanders and Mary Lou Tanzey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Buchanan's Funeral Service (8712 N Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North MacArthur church of Christ, her church home for the past 24 years, or a school of choice.
