He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Hays and C. F. Hays; his sister Pat Hays; and his grandson Garrett Conley. He is survived by: his wife Janey Hays; his daughters, Carrie Conley (Wiley), Angie Krizer (John) and Emily Grizzle (Ben); his grandchildren, Mason Conley, Rachel Conley, Evan Krizer, Andrew Krizer, Sam Grizzle and Kali Grizzle; and his siblings, Judy Speed, Jerry Hays (Sue), Charles Hays (Brenda), Linda Wallace (Darrell), George Hays (Rhonda), Jim Hays, Rickey McGruder, Marilyn Hays, Cathey Bogert, Barbara White (Joe), Robert Hays and Becky Hays. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
