Raymond Patterson Jr. Obituary
Raymond E. Patterson, Jr. passed from this life June 3, 2023 at the age of 81 in Oklahoma City. He was born January 25, 1942 in Oklahoma City to Raymond E. Patterson, Sr. and Margaret Ann Patterson (O'Neal).
Raymond graduated from Ponca Military Academy and then went on to attend classes at OSU. He married Sarah Woolard in 1962 and they were blessed with two children, Eric and Margo. He later married Connie Delancy in 1976 where he was blessed with his third child, Tina. Raymond ultimately married Kaye Morris and they were blessed with nearly 20 years of marriage. Raymond worked as a tester at Lucent Technologies for many years. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, had a passion for woodworking and was a huge movie buff. Raymond was a man of few words, but was deeply sentimental. He loved his family dearly and they were the light of his life. He had a dry sense of humor and was constantly making people laugh with his sarcasm and witty remarks. He believed in hard work and had an admirable work ethic. Raymond will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, Raymond Patterson, Sr. and Margaret Patterson; and his son, Eric Alan Patterson.
Those left to continue his legacy include his daughters, Margo Skinner and her significant other, Clint Colson, and Tina Patterson and fiancé Brandon Fletcher; grandchildren, Sarah Marie Skinner, Courtney Patterson Pinto, Joseph and Christopher Patterson and their mother, Betty, and Dilon, Owen, and Lily Dremel; and sisters, Lisa and Tammy of Oklahoma. Raymond is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
The family wishes to extended sincere appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Superior Care who gave endlessly of their time, attention, and love to Raymond. Also to the staff of Oklahoma Hospice who were so compassionate and helpful.
Visitation is 4:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, June 9, 2023 at Resthaven. Services are 2:00pm, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Chapel at Resthaven.
