With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Penny Lanet Barter (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Penny Lanet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Penny Lanet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John North and Emma Dean Nunley (Ragan); and her half-brother Dennis North. She is survived by: her husband John Barter; her stepson Jason Barter; her grandsons, Jackson Barter and Jet Barter; and her brothers, George North (Barbara) and Jimmy North. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Buchanan Funeral Service of Oklahoma City (8712 N Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132). The inurnment was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Magnolia Memorial Cemetery (25010 E0800 Rd, Bristow, OK 74010).
