It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Gene Brown (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Michael Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Edward M. Brown; his children, Myrtle Esters-Brown Brothers, Victor L. Brown William I., Edward M. Brown II and George A. Brown; and his sister Rita Brown-Raspberry.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church (1829 NE 36th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73111).

“"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3). Michael was my cousin and he will be missed especially for his singing, his love for God, and his family. I loved his laughter when he was around you, it made you feel happy. I will never forget when he brought the Star Spencer Band down to Chandler for our Christmas parade, it was amazing and they did an encore on the courthouse lawn. Michael did a wonderful job here on earth with his talents. Love You! Marsha Green”
