She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ann Brooks and C. B. Brooks; her husband Melvin Samsel Jr.; and her siblings, Johnny, Hook and Charlie.
She is survived by: her daughter Cheri Walker (Michael) of Yukon; her granddaughter Mikka Testerman (Jacob Testerman) of Oklahoma City; her great grandchildren, Avery, Harper and Ellison Testerman; her child Eden Bassett; her sister Inez Figley; and her nieces, Anita Ranells, April Brooks and Charlotte Calvin. She is also survived by nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (13313 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
