She is survived by: her husband Robert Turner; her children, Robert Turner (Kimmy) and Keysha Sanders (Joe); and her grandchildren, Chablee DeGroot (Max), Julia Sanders (Grady Franklin), JaKobe Sanders (Maggie Glasgow), KyLynn Sanders, Keegan Bass, Kamryn Bass, Khloe Bass and Kale Frost.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Life Church (1917 N Country Club Rd, Stillwater, OK 74075). Even after retiring, her dedication to education did not wane; she rejoiced in returning to part-time work at SMC, serving her community during the unparalleled challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the The Postpartum Plan that helps provide equitable resources to expecting families such as educational offerings, doula services, lactation support, social resources, diapers, car seats and playpens to families in need, c/o Exchange Bank and Trust Stillwater, Oklahoma.
