He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean James; his daughter Valerie Thompson; his son-in-law Warren Thompson; his granddaughter Maya Thompson; and his siblings, Helen Nash, Katie Howard, Carol Baker, Lila Shelton (Baltimore), Carl James (Ruth) and David James (Opal). He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
