With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joy Magalene Heltcel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Cofer and Della Cofer; her former husband Buck Heltcel; her husband Joe Young; and her siblings, Fran Crow, Claire Henson, Juanita Deweese and Richard Cofer.

She is survived by: her children, Leon Heltcel, Rodney Heltcel (Dana), JoAnna Bowen (Kevin) and Bobby Heltcel (Janette); and her grandchildren, Katie Heltcel, Robert Heltcel, Erica Heltcel, Chad Heltcel, Keri Heltcel, Steven Bowen, Shane Bowen, Broady Heltcel and Walker Heltcel. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westmoore Community Church (11513 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170).
