It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Lee McLaughlin (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene McLaughlin and Lucille McLaughlin; and his sister Rita Thoms (Wanda McLaughlin). He is survived by: his wife Wanda Brotherton; his children, Robert McLaughlin (Marsha), Richard McLaughlin (Shari) and Rhonda Bailey (Tim); his grandchildren, Caitlin Gonzalez (Joshua), Shelby Sheldon (Ryan), Jared McLaughlin, Sean McLaughlin, Andrew Bailey (Shelby) and Matthew Bailey (Riley); his great grandchildren, Easton Gonzalez, Blakely, Daxton, Brooks and Harper Bailey; and his sisters, Catherine and Charolette. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary South (6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene (7301 S Walker Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Sunny Lane Cemetery (4000 SE 29th St, Del City, OK 73115).
