With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Floyd D. Gates (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), who passed away on February 7, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd D. Gates and Margie Gates; and his son Shawn D. Gates. He is survived by: his wife Brenda D. Gates; his children, Angelique Gates-Streit (Diana Streit), Chris Gates (Kristen Gates), Tina Stonebraker (Kaleb Stonebraker) and Elizabeth Rivera (Jaime Rivera Jr.); his grandchildren, Nicole Morales, Jordan Gates, Ethan Pollard, Darin Stonebraker, Liam Pollard, Harlie Gates, Hunter Gates and Maddux Rivera; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Morales, Izaiah Morales and Cairo Gates; and his siblings, Bobby Dean Gates, Martha Ann Clayton, Terry Lynn Gates and Dowetta Jan Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Memory Gardens (500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Eagle Heights Church (12001 S Portland Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170).
