He was predeceased by: his father Doyle Jack; and his brother Jacky Ray Phelps. He is survived by: his mother Christine Nahoma Phelps (Brooks) of Sulphur; his wife Billie; his children, Stacy Cross (G. W.) of Tulsa, Johnnie Dodson (Terry) of Sulphur and Kendrick Phelps of Sulphur; and his grandchildren, BethAnn Horton, Dylan Cross of Chris Dodson, J. W, Terra Dodson, Jada Phelps, Wyatt Phelps and Jackson Ty Phelps. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Hale's Funeral Home (3370 State Hwy 7, Sulphur, OK 73086). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
