He was predeceased by: his daughter Miranda Leigh Tolbert. He is survived by: his parents, James R. Tolbert and Elizabeth McMahan Tolbert; his siblings, Cannon Miles Tolbert (Molly), Lee Mitchener Tolbert (Nicole) and Elizabeth Tolbert Wanamaker (Bruce); and his daughters, Alona Smith (J. C.) and Melinda Hill.
