He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Byrd and Julia Byrd (Harjo); his son Timothy Byrd; and his sisters, Nancy, Linda and Belinda.
He is survived by: his siblings, Melinda Byrd of Okmulgee, Jeanne Byrd of Talala, Oklahoma and Jimmy Byrd of Talala; and his grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
