With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Tanner of Okemah, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 14, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lois may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, G. C. Smithee and Dovie Smithee (Ward); her former husband Billy Kennedy Tanner; her husband Roy Pierre Hurd; and her siblings, Dee Smithee and Marie Ballard.
She is survived by: her son Billy Keith Tanner (Debbie) of Okemah; her grandson Billy Kerk Tanner of Okemah; and her nieces, Carolyn Holder of Broken Arrow, Marilyn Smithee of Sapulpa and Sheila Rainer of Longview, Texas..
