It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Franklin Smith (Okemah, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, O. F. Smith and Lilllian Smith (Dodson); and his wife Delores Smith (Taylor). He is survived by: his children, Jamie Wiedel (Andy) of Beggs, Oklahoma and Justin Smith (Garett) of Castle, Oklahoma; his siblings, Pat Smith (Kaye) of Okemah and Ernestine Standley of Okemah, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jayci Gildhouse, Denver Berry, Odessa Smith and Remick Smith; and his great grandchild Aurora Gildhouse.
The family has requested donations be made to Castle Baptist Church in Jim's name.
