He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Rakestraw Sr. and Myrtle Rakestraw (Stone); and his former wife Madeline Rakestraw. He is survived by: his wife Kay Rakestraw; his children, Brian, Herbert Rakestraw III, Guida Jo Ballinger, Sherrilynn Hunt and Georgianna Warsawski; and his brother Hank Rakestraw. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
