With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendell Nelson of Oakwood, Oklahoma, born in Elk City, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 17, 2023 at the age of 49. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Mark R. Nelson; and his grandparents, Mark, Elizabeth Nelson, Wendell and Elsie Hajny.

He is survived by: his mother Sharon Nelson of Oakwood; his fiancé Shelby; his daughter Daphne of Oakwood, OK; his siblings, Mark Nelson (Kristi) of Yukon and Melissa Morgan (Jason) of Guthrie; his nephews, Mark Ryan Nelson, Liam Morgan and Kaleb Nelson; his niece Olivia Morgan; and his friend Fay. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
