With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Lee Clayton of Oakhurst, Oklahoma, born in Pawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 13, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sular Tilford Clayton and Flossie Louise Clayton (Majors); his grandparents, Monroe and Betty Clayton; his sister Ladessa Garrison; his brother-in-law Orville Garrison; his siblings, Meckie Tilford Clayton and Betty Louise Moore; his brother-in-law Mitchell Moore; his siblings, Mary Ruth Pruitt and Johnnie Allen Clayton; his sister-in-law Jessie Ann Clayton; his parents-in-law, John and Addie Sanders; and his brother-in-law Robert Lee Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Lela Clayton; his son Gary Lee Clayton Jr. of Oakhurst; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn Marie Barnes, Cole Barnes of Sapulpa, Bobby Garrett Clayton of Oakhurst and Iva Mae Louise Clayton of Oakhurst; his great grandchildren, Kinzlee Delana LeeAnn Barnes, Bailey Ann Thornton, Knox Christopher Ty Thornton, Kamden Cole Barnes, Stuart Collin Snyder III and Bobby Garrett Clayton Jr.; his siblings, Lester Alvin Clayton, Terrie Sue Isaac (Bill Isaac), Billie Jack Clayton, Glenda Clayton, Sular Ray Clayton (Candy Clayton) and Kelly Jo Clayton; his brother-in-law Robert Pruitt; and his mother-in-law Norma Jean Erichsen (Albert Erichsen). He is also survived by numerous extended family, cousins, nieces and nephews.
