He was predeceased by: his wife Dora Mae Parret Heape; his parents, Robert Cleveland Heape and Nancy Adeline Starns Heape; and his sisters, Pernecia Lou Heape Stone, Dolly Virginia Heape Risenhoover and Francis Mae Heape Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Lynn Heape Pryor, Theresa Jo Heape, Cindy Bell Miller and Robert Loyd Heape Jr.; his brother Joseph Leon Heape; and his sister-in-law Mabel Parret Collier. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
