He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Elios Owens and Floyd Reeves; his grandparents, Ernest and Viola Owens; his daughter Tracy Mayhew; his brother Curtis Reeves; and his uncle James Reeves.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Owens of Nowata, OK; his children, Bernice Stamford (Darren) of Panama City, Kevin Mayhew of Nowata, OK and Steven Mayhew (Nicci) of Oologah, OK; his siblings, Karen "Midge" Owens of Nowata, OK, Annie Matthews of St. Louis, MO and Jimmie Hailey of Nowata, OK.; his niece Karena Jennings of Nowata, OK; and his nephews, Micheal Reeves of Nowata, OK and Robert Reeves (Ben) of Bartlesville, OK.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benjamin Funeral Services (114 W Cherokee Ave, Nowata, OK 74048). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
