It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Lee Henderson of Nowata, Oklahoma, born in Brownfield, Texas, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Henderson and Inez Henderson (Smith); his siblings, June Miller, Peggy Rowe and Edward Leroy Sharp; his brother-in-law Gary Daniels; his parents-in-law, Wilson and Alice Leath; and his nieces, Jessica Craft and Rita Hitt-Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Leath Henderson; his children, Amanda Carter (Randall), Alicia Henderson of Nowata and Dwayne Holland (Katina); his siblings, Sue Daniels of Round Rock, Betty Wells of Georgetown, Texas and Bill Harberson (Susan); his siblings-in-law, Dianne Sharp of Nashville, Arkansas and Jack Leath (Sylvia); his grandchildren, Matthew Holland (Amanda), Davon Carter, Veralynn Carter, Avery Carter and Olivia Carter; and his great grandchildren, Walker Holland and Katelyn Holland.
