With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Kirby Jr. of Nowata, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 16, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joe departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joe. Though Joe may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Kirby and Nina Kirby (Rush); his sister Sina Pine; and his brother-in-law Donald Belden. He is survived by: his siblings, Ernest Kirby (Wanda), Grady Kirby (Cindy) of Nowata, Henrietta Kirby, Mary Kirby and Treva Belden of Nowata. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benjamin Funeral Services (114 W Cherokee Ave, Nowata, OK 74048). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
