In loving memory of Mary Bess (Pickard) Gamel in Norman, Oklahoma, who departed this world on June 24, 2024 at the age of 103. Mary leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud W. D. Pickard and Mollie Avo Berry Pickard; her husband A. Lyle Gamel; her sister Addie Lee Barker; and her daughter Mary Michael.

She is survived by: her children, Claud, Addie Lee, Dee, Karen Gamel Urette (Mike), Gary Lyle Gamel (Linda) and Teri Gamel Alexander (Pat). She is also survived by five grandchildren, a great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the McFarlin Methodist Church UMC Senior Adult Care (419 S. University Blvd. Norman, OK 73069), Good Shepherd Hospice (1370 N. Interstate Drive, Suite 160, Norman, OK 73072).
