She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud W. D. Pickard and Mollie Avo Berry Pickard; her husband A. Lyle Gamel; her sister Addie Lee Barker; and her daughter Mary Michael.

She is survived by: her children, Claud, Addie Lee, Dee, Karen Gamel Urette (Mike), Gary Lyle Gamel (Linda) and Teri Gamel Alexander (Pat). She is also survived by five grandchildren, a great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
