It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Merillat Staat in Norman, Oklahoma, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Henry Staat, II and Margaret Merillat Staat. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Merillat Staat (Manuel DeLeon) of Denver, Colorado and Francis Staat (Tristan Staat) of Norman, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Henry Staat, Emily Staat, Fidias DeLeon and Francisco DeLeon; and his sisters, Chris Rogers of Dallas and Katherine Staat of Austin, Texas..
