He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Elva Kennedy and Joseph Shular Powell; his wife Lois Rae Lewis; his children, Brenda Chuleewah, Beth Casteel and Joseph Powell; his grandchildren, Conjotee Chuleewah, Ethan Lewis Casteel, R. Quinn Casteel and Cole Powell Casteel; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Tatum Casteel.
