He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Fern Hatcher and Lizzie; his wife Betty J. Walker; his daughter Becky Jacobs; his grandsons, Phillip Milam and David Milam; and his sisters, Grace Noel, Helen Phillips and Lois Putnam.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Emmons (Steve) of Norman and Arlen Phillips (LuAnn) of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Ben Emmons (Amy) of Oklahoma City, Katie Park (Michael) of Yukon, Aaron Phillips (Beth) of Stromsburg, Josh Phillips (Brittany) of Oskaloosa and Alyssa Hoeksema (Caleb) of Altoona, Iowa; and his sister Velma Wee of Butler, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
