He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Eugene Harris and Dorothy Pearl Harris (Robertson). He is survived by: his sons, Billy Valt Harris of Grand Junction and Thomas "Tommy" Harris of Lawton, Oklahoma; his siblings, Darvin Harris of Krum, Texas and Shirley Harris of Green Valley, Arizona; and his cousin Jannell DiSalvo of Fremont.
