He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose F. Schlecht and Mary M. Schlecht (Novotny); his wife Doris Schlecht; his brother Louis Schlecht; his brother-in-law Jim Yearwood; and his son-in-law Greg Lee.
He is survived by: his daughter Scherrie; his son-in-law Leonard Santos of Ninnekah; his children, Donelle Lee of Ninnekah, John Hamil of Shelbyville and Michael; his daughter-in-law Beckey Hamil of Bethany; his daughter Dianna Turpin; his son-in-law Chad Chadrick of Chickasha; and his sister JoAnn Yearwood of Crestview, Florida. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
