He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Clifton Gentry and Mattie Mary Gentry (Plummer); his siblings, David Gentry and Dolores Hough; and his children, Michelle Gentry and Clint Gentry.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Gentry; his daughter Cheri Dunn of Peckham; his siblings, Joyce Eagan (Lowell) of Arkansas City, KS, Bill Gentry (Carolyn) of Arkansas City, KS and Linda Litton (Dale) of Arkansas City, KS; and his grandchildren, Chelsi Green, Lorre Dunn, Lyndsey Adams, Maya Gentry, Ethan Gentry, Allegra Myers, Braden Lepore and Rayce Lepore. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
