John Wanko Jr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2022, at the age of 70, John Wanko Jr. of Newkirk, Oklahoma, born in Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis, Sr. and Helen Wanko (Schmidt); his siblings, Helen Caughlin, Donald Wanko and Larry Wanko; his siblings-in-law, Don Caughlin, Ronnie Schuchman and Jeannean Wanko (Carson); and his nieces and nephews, James Wanko, Mark Caughlin, Jimmy Maupin, Russell Schuchman, Lea Meyer (Maupin) and Debra Blan (Wanko).

He is survived by: his spouse Lou Ann Williams; his daughter Sharon L. Calfy (Wanko) of Newkirk; his grandchildren, Jamie, Torie Oakes (Calfy), Brendon, Joseph and Aiden Calfy of Newkirk; his great grandchildren, Lida, Fletcher and Daxtyn Oakes of Newkirk; his siblings, Lewis L. Wanko (Vineta), Liz Maupin (Gary) and Mary Schuchman; and his sister-in-law Jerhonda Wanko of Newkirk, OK.. He is also survived by his daughter and grandkids and had many close friends.
