She was predeceased by: her parents, John Herbert Surbeck and Marguerite Eva Surbeck (Carpenter); her husband Earl Irwin; and her brother Jim Surbeck of Newcastle. She is survived by: her former husband Col. Jack L. VanPool; her daughters, Kelly Sharp of Newcastle and Sandra Mathis of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Jody Sharp, Rodney Sharp and John Sharp; her great grandchildren, Hailey Sharp of Oklahoma City, Megan of Bridge Creek, Anna of Bridge Creek and John Sharp of Bridge Creek; her nephew Steven Surbeck of Rush Springs; her niece Vickie Surbeck Taylor; and her cousins, Dr. William Surbeck, Deborah Surbeck Lykes and Nancy Surbeck.
