He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Pontius and Blanche Pontius (Stout); his siblings-in-law, Alicia Pontius and John Smith; and his niece Kristy Collyar.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Pontius of Newcastle; his children, Brandon Ray Pontius of Moore, Oklahoma, Chad Aaron Pontius (Michelle) of Wichita Falls, Texas and Amy Pontius Smith (Justin) of Coppell, Texas; his grandchildren, Morgan Leigh Pontius, Chase Aaron Pontius, Abby Elizabeth Smith and Benjamin Dylan Smith; and his siblings, Dale Pontius (Londa) of Haslett, Eldon Pontius of Newkirk, Oklahoma, Maxine Netz (Roy) of Flora, Judy Docking (Bill) of Arkansas City and JoAnn Smith of Newcastle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church (3701 Taft Blvd, Wichita Falls, TX 76308). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Crowell Cemetery (Crowell, TX 79227).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Dale K. Graham Vet Foundation in Norman, Oklahoma, in Dennis' memory.
