He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Hatfield; his parents, James Hatfield (Fowler) and Edith Hatfield (Melton); his stepfather W. O. Eager; and his siblings, Jim, Tommy, Perry, Jackie and Pauline Marie.
He is survived by: his sister Joyce McWilliams (Hatfield); his children, Michael Hatfield (Stacy) and Robin Hatfield; his stepchildren, Denisa Dinwiddie (Billy), Chris Columbus (Kim) and Terry Columbus (Jenny); and his grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob, Asher, Thomas, Sean-Michael, Leanna, Aaron, Amy, Matt, Marcie, Teran, Kendall and Aiden. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
