He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Emmons and Gladys Emmons (Collins); and his brothers, Larry "Bud", Gary Sr. and Dewey.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Rae Chestnut; his children, Kevin Emmons, Stefanie Emmons and Gentry Barnes (Lauren); his grandchildren, Jeremy Barnes (Shelisa), Daegen, Brayden, Justin, Grayson, Traylon, Braylee and Taylor Wise (Michael); his great grandchildren, Lexton and Kinslee Wise; and his sister Doris Brown.
