He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Watkins Barber and Jimmie Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Adrienne; his sons, Caden and Curtis of Mustang; and his sisters, Judy Warner (Joe) of Belton, MO and Christina Carmichael (Steve) of Haven, KS.

“Hello, I am a nurse that cared for John several times. I always enjoyed chatting with him and hearing him talk about his sons. He was so proud of them. Being an oncology nurse, losing patients is, by nature, part of the job. What they don't tell you when you get into this career is that you'll bond with certain patients, and losing them never gets easier. John was one of those patients. My heart is heavy to learn of his passing, and my prayers will be with ya'll.”
