He was predeceased by: his parents, Chet VanCleave and Judy VanCleave (Baker); his siblings-in-law, Herb and Johnnie Mathews; his grandsons, Ethan VanCleave and Benjamin Fairchild; and his niece Maegan VanCleave.
He is survived by: his wife Terry VanCleave (Mathews); his daughters, Tena Smith (Jeff), Tera VanCleave and Tiffany Fairchild (Casey); his grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew and Elliott Fairchild; his siblings, John (family: Jerry, Jeff) and Christy VanCleave; his brother-in-law Mark Mathews (Susan); and his nieces and nephews, Katherine Roozbeh (Babak), Lauren McKenzie (Alex) and Allison Mathews.
