We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2025, at the age of 93, Velma Lou Schiller of Muskogee, Oklahoma, born in Kellyville, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Velma Lou farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Velma Lou is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Hogan and Velta Hogan (Capps); her husband C. E. Schiller, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Karen Schiller. She is survived by: her sons, Thomas E. Schiller (Judy) of Oktaha, OK, John W. Schiller (Deborah) of Muskogee, OK and Phillip J. Schiller of Muskogee, OK. She is also survived by extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1020 W Okmulgee Ave, Muskogee, OK 74401). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at 1423 Cemetery Rd, Fort Gibson, OK 74434.
