She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Noba Keathley Elder; her husband Lawrence Nelson; her sister Mary Lee Matlock (Henry); and her nephews, Gary Matlock and Dr. C. Glen Matlock.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Chapman of Muskogee, OK, Randy Chapman (Teresa) of Muskogee, OK and Tammy Calhoun (John) of Muskogee, OK; her grandchildren, Casey Box and Kelsey Ralls (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Brylynn Willis, Zach Ham and Layla Willis; her nephew Doug Matlock (Ruth); and her stepdaughters, Sue Thompson (Gary) of Coweta, OK and Cheryl Nelson of Pawhuska, OK. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenhill Cemetery (1500 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403).
