James Vernon left this world on January 22, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Berthel Hyslope and Daisy Hyslope (Hunter); his siblings, Mary Jones and Andrew Hyslope; and the mother of his children Nellie Hyslope.
He is survived by: his children, Rick, Lynda Hyslope of Woodall, OK, Karen, Tim Christie of Welling, OK, Lisa and Will Kaake of Bonham, TX; and his siblings, Richard Hyslope of Muskogee, OK and Maggie Arnett of Checotah, OK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel (1830 N York St, Muskogee, OK 74403).
