He was predeceased by: his parents, Ennis Hicks and Elvie Hicks (Johnson); his son Thurston Hicks; and his siblings, Ennis Rosevelt, Barbara Hall, Charles, Alfred, Haskell Hicks, Martha Ann Hicks and Ralph Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Hicks; his children, Constance Hicks of Oklahoma City, OK, Rochelle Miller of Houston, TX, James Hicks, Jr., Corey Hicks of Tulsa, OK and Donny Hicks of Tecumseh, OK; his sisters, Mary Jane Harmon of Paris, TX, Mary Joyce of Longview, TX and Cleta Hicks of Paris, TX; and his sister-in-law Anita Hicks of Paris, TX. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the House of Winn Funeral Home, "precious Memories Chapel" (2200 Military Blvd, Muskogee, OK 74401).
