He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray James and Norene Southern (Cole); his siblings, Otry Southern (Ruth), Barbara Sosebee and Jerry Southern (Sue); and his son David Southern.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Maxine Cummings; his children, Charles Douglas Southern (Karen) of Kansas and Donna Southern of Muskogee; his grandchildren, Charles Christopher Southern (Honey), Megan Wright (Mark), Cassie Southern (Leslie Wilder), Jacob Southern and Kaylee Sack (Nelson); and his great grandchildren, Sebastien Wilder and Jack Ray Sack. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
