Paul Michael Beard Obituary

Paul Michael Beard passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in Ardmore, Okla. surrounded by his wife and sister. Graveside services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla. with Pastor Bob Lee officiating.

Paul Michael Beard was born in Ardmore, Okla. to David and Opal (Owen) Beard on December 9, 1949. A sister, Margaret and a brother, Rogers greeted him as he arrived. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1968 and attended College at Oklahoma University and later at South Eastern University in Durant. He worked in the construction business here in Ardmore and then in various places across the country for many years before returning to live in his home town.

He married Becky Whitt in July of 1986 and she traveled with him and was his main helper throughout his construction career and later at projects in their home. Paul has gathered many good friends through his various life activities who enjoy his companionship and sense of humor. He is known and loved by many. Paul enjoyed fishing and playing golf at every opportunity he had.

Paul accepted Jesus as his Savior by faith, early in life and put his hopes in Him for strength, guidance, and wisdom.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents.

Paul is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rebecca "Becky" Sue Beard of the home, two sons: Greg Evans Jr. of Montgomery, TX and Michael Paul Beard, Lawrence, KS. Sister, Margaret E. (Beard) Rybenski of Wildwood, MO and brother, David Rogers Beard of Muldrow, Okla. grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of family friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, May 17, 2024 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore, Okla.
