He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Mathews (Riggs); and his siblings, Margaret Bray, Kathern King, Paul Mathews, Donald Mathews and Kenneth Dale Mathews.

He is survived by: his sisters, Doris Bostwick of Yukon, OK, Sue White of Midwest City, OK and Loretta Allison (Carl) of Fort Smith, AR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
