He was predeceased by: his parents, J. S. Hoover (Sandy) and Ferol Hoover (Fullerton); his wife Mary Hoover (Herring); his grandson Justin Hoover; his siblings, J. D., Frank and Betty; his nephew Robert; and his niece Judy Day (Hoover).
He is survived by: his children, Debra Carolyn Plooster (Nick), Mary Patricia Lack (Johnny) and David Phil Hoover (Linda); and his brother-in-law Deuane Frazier. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
