He was predeceased by: his parents, James Homer and Clara Connel; his wife Billie; and his brother Jimmie Connel. He is survived by: his spouse Ima Love Jones of Carnegie; his sons, Michael Connel (Becky), Mark Connel (Janet) of Oklahoma City and David Connel (Melissa) of Oklahoma City; and his stepdaughter Vicki Khalili (Ali) of Midwest City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
