He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Carner and Vinnie Carner (Wesley); his grandson Derrick Carner; and his great grandchild Jaxxon Allen. He is survived by: his wife Corene Lawson Carner; his children, Jackie (Terry) of Glenpool, Tommy Carner of Mounds, Denise (Bob Hensley) of Oklahoma City and Kenneth (Susan Carner) of Mounds; and his brothers, Col. Paul Carner and Kelly Carner (Buck).
