He is survived by: his wife Shirley McDowell; his son Ronald McDowell (Nellie); his grandchildren, Cory McDowell (Jennifer), Steven McDowell (Ana) and Roni Kay McDowell; his stepchildren, Doenye Essary (Paul), LaDonna Diebold and Kyle Mathis (Gae); his stepgrandchildren, Kaytlin Fultz (Andy), Kylea Wares (Josh), Jimmy Collins (Angie), Deanna Zoeller (Bryan), Jeffrey Weldon (Michelle) and Emily Beyers (Jeff); his niece Dianna Sullins; and his nephews, Billy Ray McDowell and Billy Glenn McDowell. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
