He is survived by: his children, Shelly Coleman (Shawn), Steve Simpson (Luzelena) and Sam Simpson (Lachele); his grandchildren, Kyle, Joe, Tyson Simpson, Dylan Coleman, Clarissa Cook and Melannie; and his niece Sue Welling. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
